Career Guidance and Placement Cell
The Placement cum Information and Career Guidance Cell has been setup with the objectives (i) to guide students in selecting suitable courses of study by providing them with all relevant information. (ii) to create awareness about self-employment and entrepreneurship, and also career options among students (iii) to provide basic information about opportunities for self-employment and entrepreneurship (iv) to provide guidance to the students for their appropriate placement (V) to establish linkage with different recruiting agencies
The ICGC conducted “The Jagadish Bose National Science Talent Search Examinations” on 2nd and 9th November, 2009 for JBNSTS Junior and Seminar Scholarships.
The Cell organised a workshop on “Scope of Future Study and Placement” (reference to India as well as in Global context) for the undergraduate students (Science)on 22nd August, 2009. Resource Person for the workshop was Mr. Rajib Talukdar, Chartered Engineer, ICHEMIE, London .
The Cell organised a workshop on “Scope of employment/self employment” for under graduate students (Arts, Science & Commerce) on 22nd August, 2009. Dr. C.R.Bhattacharjee, Teacher-in-Charge of placement cell, Assam University, Dr. G.Das, Teacher-in-Charge of Placement Cell, National Institute of Technology, Silchar and Dr. N.Roy, Director, IQAC, Assam University attended as resource persons in the workshop.
In collaboration with NIIT, Karimganj center the Cell organised a workshop on “Career Orientation programme” for undergraduate students on 04th September, 2009.
UGC Network Resource Centre
The College offers internet facilities through this centre to create awareness among the students about the use of Computer in various activities and to provide access to multimedia materials in learning process at places of eminence in India and abroad with a nominal user-charge.
Separate Boys' & Girls' Hostel
Separate Boys' and Girls' Hostel facilities to the extent of about 30 seats for male and 20 seats for female students are available. The seats will be allotted on merit cum distance basis. Students are instructed to mention in the application form (for admission to college) if they need hostel accommodation.
Gymnasium & Yoga Centre
The College has a well equipped Gymnasium and Yogo Centre managed by qualified instructors who impart Gymnastic and Yogo training to the students. Sri Biswajit Ghosh acts as the in-charge of the centre. To develop physical and mental health, College has made this training complusory for all students. A charge of Rs. 100/- per annum is collected from a student to meet the expenditure of the centre.
